The Art of Coming Home

It all begins with an idea.

How paint parties, pop art, and a Nordic bear led me back to my soul's studio.

Back in 2017, I opened the doors to a paint party studio that felt more like a living room than a business. People came to paint the Friends couch and eat cheesecake off the floor, and somehow… it worked. I created custom canvases for bachelorette and bridal showers, moms' night outs, and birthdays. I was there for the milestones and the messy moments, the laughter and the champagne spills. My job? To help people make time, to make memories. To FIND YOUR FLOCK!

It wasn’t just art. It was memory-making. It was connection. It was magic.

But when 2020 hit, everything stopped. The world quieted, and so did I. I closed my beloved studio, archived my thriving Instagram, and poured every drop of my energy into my home, my daughters, and surviving the unknown. I didn’t know it then, but I had entered a sacred pause, a necessary one.

Fast forward to 2023, and everything cracked open again. I was going through a divorce, questioning everything, and unraveling the version of myself I had built around being needed, liked, or chosen. In that unraveling, I stumbled upon something ancient, my ancestral roots in Nordic shamanism. And there, waiting in the dream space like an old friend, was a bear named Henri.

Yes, I met my spirit animal. And yes, he changed everything.

Henri reminded me of my own power. He held me through the grief and the remembering. Through him, I began to understand how deeply animals carry wisdom, protection, and playfulness. How the inner child doesn’t just want to be heard, but also she wants to celebrate. She wants to paint. She wants to dance. She wants to be seen.

And so, Confetti Flamingo was born—not as a revival of my old business, but as a reimagining of it through the lens of healing. It’s no longer just about painting canvases. It’s about celebrating the parts of us we’ve had to hide to survive.

At Confetti Flamingo, you can show up exactly as you are messy, joyful, curious, exhausted, full of dreams, or still finding your footing. Your inner child is welcome here. Your weirdness is worshipped here. Your healing is held here.

We’ll paint with watercolors. We’ll create with intention. We’ll laugh too loud. And yes, we’ll still end every party with a confetti popper.

Because life is worth celebrating!
Especially in the happily ever middle.

It all begins with an idea. Maybe you want to launch a business. Maybe you want to turn a hobby into something more. Or maybe you have a creative project to share with the world. Whatever it is, the way you tell your story online can make all the difference.

Don’t worry about sounding professional. Sound like you. There are over 1.5 billion websites out there, but your story is what’s going to separate this one from the rest. If you read the words back and don’t hear your own voice in your head, that’s a good sign you still have more work to do.

Be clear, be confident and don’t overthink it. The beauty of your story is that it’s going to continue to evolve and your site can evolve with it. Your goal should be to make it feel right for right now. Later will take care of itself. It always does.
